Apple Silicon native versions of the languages APT uses are still being developed. This requires Apple's Rosetta 2 to be installed (you will be prompted to install it if necessary). Hardware: Apple has released new Mac hardware based on Apple Silicon (M1) that required a patch to APT 2021.2 (note that some tools run more slowly).
